Update default SEO in the Admin

Default SEO Settings control the short codes inserted throughout the Booking Engine website, allowing you to add, and modify to reflect your marketing practices. Below is where in the you make adjustments in the Admin.

Log into the Booking Engine Admin, example: https://websiteURL.com/vacation-rentals/admin

  • Navigate to "Settings" on the left side

Select "Default SEO"

  • Below are the SEO short codes you will see listed on the pages through the booking engine, most correlate to the Default SEO Settings above, while others are specific to feature pages (see screenshot):
    • [brand] - Company Name
    • [city] - City based on the property city in the API
    • [category_name] - label of the feature we are pulling from the API
    • [prop_name] - Property Name we are pulling from the API
    • [location1] - Location 1 above
    • [location2] - Location 2 above
    • [state] - State 1 above
    • [state2] - State 2 above
    • [product1] - Product 1 above
    • [product2] - Product 2 above
    • [product3] - Product 3 above
    • [complex_name] - label for the Complex name created in the Complex feature
    • [customgroup_name] - label for the Custom Group name created in the Custom Group feature

Maintain Short Codes for Page Settings

  • Navigate Page Settings
  • Select the page name you would like to update.
  • Title: Displays on the title of the browser page.
  • H1: This is the title that displays on the Property Page
  • Keywords: Enter keywords specific to this page.
  • Description: Displays this description of the search engine pages

Maintain Short Codes Property Page

  • Navigate to Property Lookup under the Property Admin and type the name of the property to review.
  • Select the "SEO Tab".
  • Title: Displays on the title of the browser page.
  • H1: This is the title that displays on the Property Page
  • Keywords: Enter keywords specific to this page.
  • Description: Displays this description of the search engine pages
  • Hit "Save"

  • Navigate to the Complexes feature and select the name of the complex you want to update
  • Select the "SEO Tab"
  • Metatag Title: Displays on the title of the browser page.
  • Page H1: This is the title that displays on the Property Page
  • Metatag Keywords: Enter keywords specific to this page.
  • Metatag Description: Displays this description of the search engine pages
  • Hit "Save"

  • Navigate to the Custom Groups feature and select the name of the complex you want to update
  • Select the "SEO Tab"
  • Page Title: Displays on the title of the browser page.
  • Page H1: This is the title that displays on the Property Page
  • Page Keywords: Enter keywords specific to this page.
  • Page Description: Displays this description of the search engine pages
  • Hit "Save"
