Property Not Displaying On Website

Updated 1 week ago by Taylor McManus

The properties that are displaying on the Signal Booking Engine website come from the PMS. If a property is not displaying, the following are steps to determine whether the issue is due to a setting in the PMS, or with the Booking Engine.

  • This is the page that displays all properties that we are getting from the PMS. Confirm that you DO NOT see it here.
  • IF you still do not see it go to the next step.

Log into the Booking Engine Admin - ex - https://websiteURL.com/vacation-rentals/admin

  • Navigate to the Property Admin section on the left

Property Lookup

  • Type in the name of the property, and look at the following settings in the Booking Engine Admin (see screenshot below).:
  • Check to see if the "Disabled" checkbox is checked.
    • If it is and it shouldn't be, uncheck it.
    • Click "Save"
    • Clear your browser history, shut the browser down, and reopen your website to see if you see it displaying.

  • Review the slug name. Sometimes a slug name gets altered (see screenshot below).
    • If it does not have dashes between the words, it will not display.
      • If there is a space, remove the space and click "Save".
      • Clear your browser history, shut the browser down, and reopen your website to see if you see it displaying.
    • If the slug has a slug name that another property has, it will not display.
      • If it has the name of another property, replace it with the name it should be, and click "Save".
      • On occasion, the client has renamed the property the day after we get it in the API. That affects the slug name. If this happens, have the client review the Property Name, and update the slug name to reflect the name it should be.
      • Run the cacher - if there was a change to the property.
      • Clear your browser history, shut the browser down, and reopen your website to see if you see it displaying.
      • If the property is still not displaying, contact Signal support.
