# How to Create Listing Groups

Introducing: Listing Groups! This feature allows you to create saved, reusable groupings of listings to use as an identifier consistently across the app for filtering as a group and/or bulk edit actions.

**What is a Listing Group?**

  

A Listing Group allows you the option to view a group of listings across the platform as you choose. When you create a Listing Group, you can: 

*   Name it and create a description (optional) 
*   Add a color or emoji icon to easily identify the group across the Beyond platform
*   Select which listings are assigned to that group 
*   Filter by one or more groups throughout the platform (Pricing Dashboard, Insights Dashboard, etc.)
*   Use groups to select, view, or edit collections of listings throughout the platform (bulk edit, Pricing Dashboard, Insights Dashboard)
*   Create an Owner Insight from a group

**How do I Create a Listing Group?**

  

You can create a Listing Group in 2 ways: from the "Groups" tab or the Pricing Dashboard. 

To create a Listing Group from the Pricing Dashboard: 

Click on the checkbox on the left-hand side next to the listings you want to put in a group. From there, the option "Add to Groups" will appear at the top of the dashboard. You can click on it to make your Group or add the listings to an existing Group or Groups.

To create a Listing Group from the Groups tab: 

Click on the "Groups" option on the side panel and then select "Create Group". From there, you will be prompted to add listings to the group, create your description (optional), and add a color or emoji icon of your choice, then click "Create".

**Filters vs. Listing Groups**

  

A Listing Group is a static list of listings that you have chosen to put in a group. Filters are rule-based actions that can change automatically as the criteria change.  

You can choose a group to apply filters to, so basically: Listing Groups are "fixed", and Filters are "dynamic".

The same listing can be in multiple groups, and you can edit a group at anytime.
