Good news! We offer an onboarding credit to get started! The credit is added to your account automatically; no need to do anything. Your first bookings are on us, and then after that, we just charge a percentage of bookings!

You will not be charged a fee on any bookings that you already had in your calendar when you signed up. You worked hard for those!

You can sign up and connect your accounts [**here**](https://www.beyondpricing.com/create-account).

Please note: if you are a contracted client, you are no longer eligible for an onboarding credit after the contract's effective date.

##

To find the Billing tab: log into Beyond -> Click the sign-in icon in the top right-hand corner -> Settings -> Billing

##
**How much does Beyond cost?**

At Beyond, we have two different payment options, Pay on Book and Pay on Stay. By default, all accounts are set to Pay on Book. This means you are charged 1% of all bookings when the reservation is made. If you prefer to be charged when the stay occurs, you can choose Pay on Stay, which is a 1.49% fee that is charged the day the guest checks in.

##

If your payment plan is Pay on Stay and all of your listings are disconnected, your payment method will be charged for all outstanding reservations to automatically settle your account balance.

The payment option you choose will apply to all Beyond products you choose.

Kindly note that if you are a Dynamic Pricing and Guidance user, you will see the total percentage you pay in the Billing tab.

Here's a gif showing where to find the Billing tab:

You can switch between Pay on Book and Pay on Stay at any time within the Billing tab:

##

Please note: If you are a contracted client and are interested in utilizing Pay on Stay, you must contact your CSM to discuss adding the Pay on Stay option for an increased fee

##

## **When will you charge me?**

Your first charge will occur after you finish your onboarding credit. We will charge your account every month on your designated billing period date. You can see this information on the Billing tab of your account.

> Let's say you booked $4,300 worth of reservations in a given month's billing period. Beyond will bill you $43 at the end of that billing period. The billing period will be based on when you start your trial with Beyond.

##
**Which costs are included in the 1% fee?**

The 1% we charge is based on the nightly rate plus any fees you charge. So for most people, this means we charge 1% of their nightly rate plus the cleaning fee (and the extra guest fee if you have one). We don't charge 1% on security deposits nor taxes (having said that, there are a few municipalities where taxes are included) unless these fees are included in your host payout from Airbnb and Vrbo.

Please note that for Vrbo reservations, the host payout will be included and counted towards the 1% fee.

##
**Reservations**

By default, Beyond charges are based on when the reservation is booked as opposed to the stay date. This is different than how Airbnb and Vrbo will charge you.

> If a booking for April 6th is made on January 21st, you will be charged for that booking for your January statement, and not charged again in April when the stay takes place.

If you prefer to be charged when the stay occurs, you can choose Pay on Stay, which is a 1.49% fee that is charged the day the guest checks in.

You can switch between Pay on Book and Pay on Stay at any time within the Billing tab of your account.

##
**Cancellations**

If your account is set to Pay on Book and a cancellation occurs, our system will automatically pick it up and credit your account back for it minus our service fee. The credit will appear as a separate line item on your Billing tab under Settings.

Depending on when the cancellation occurs, the credit may appear on an upcoming Statement, rather than the same one as the reservation.

> You receive a booking for $1,200 on January 5th that is then cancelled on January 10th. Your billing date is January 7th. You will be billed $12 for this booking on January 5th (on your December 7 – January 7 statement). The cancellation will then be picked up on January 10th, and you will be credited back $2 on the following statement January 7 - February 7 statement). If the booking was canceled after 48 hours, it may be subject to our service fee.

##
**Cleaning Fees**

We charge 1% on any cleaning fees you charge. We do that for a number of reasons, including simplicity. We bake that in when coming up with the 1% fee.

We also do it this way because some of our customers charge a very low base rate but very high cleaning fees and extra guest fees. At the end of the day, what we use and what most places tax is the total amount a guest must pay in order to book the property.

> Beyond adjusts for cleaning fees by looking at how quickly your listing books up. For example: _let's say you and a neighbor both have great one-bedroom apartments available for $200 per night. If your cleaning fee is $200 and theirs is $50, you'll probably get fewer bookings than your neighbor. If you get too few bookings, your booking percentage will be too low, your Health Score will go down, and you'll know it's time to lower your Base Price to, say, $150 per night_.

## **
How do I pay?**

We charge the payment method we have on file for you automatically at the end of your Statement period. You can choose to pay via credit/debit card, PayPal, or ACH bank transfer in the Billing tab of your account.

Please note that only certain currencies are supported for PayPal and ACH bank transfers. If the option is greyed out, that means your currency is not supported with that payment method, and you will need to choose an alternate method of payment:

### **What do I do if I see Payment Failed?**

If a scheduled charge doesn't go through, you'll get a notification letting you know, along with the reason why (for example, insufficient funds):

Your Billing tab will also show a banner with the same message, along with a "Charge \[amount\] now" button. Click it to retry the charge right away using your current default payment method, no need to wait for the next automatic attempt:

If the charge goes through, your balance will update immediately. If it fails again, try a different payment method, or wait until funds are available before retrying. If funds are available and you are still running into a roadblock, please reach out to [**payments@beyondpricing.com**](mailto:payments@beyondpricing.com) for help.
